Dublin-based developer BNRG and asset manager Impax Asset Management have reached financial close on the development of three solar farms that will have a combined peak capacity of 43MW, which is enough renewable power to supply 10,000 homes a year.

David Maguire, chief executive of BNRG: the solar energy company is aiming to take 70 MW of projects into construction in Maine in the coming months.

BNRG Leeson have a pipeline of project at different stages of development but we continue to look for opportunities to expand the portfolio. To support this greenfield development, the team have created a new website where landowners can use to understand the opportunities to lease and sell sites and operate agriculture and renewable energy production in a combined manner that is simple and rewarding.

It was a fantastic couple of days for BNRG Team & its partners Dirigo & Leeson! We had our offsite meeting in the Brooklodge hotel, Wicklow, followed by a site visit to Millvale solar farm. Millvale Solar Farm was developed by BNRG with Neoen and it is the first grid-scale solar farm to be energised in the Republic of Ireland.

Dublin-headquartered solar power developer BNRG is currently raising up to €115m of debt and equity, after doing an asset swap deal with former partner Neoen.
