CEO David Maguire a finalist for EY Entrepreneur of the Year

We are delighted to announce that David Maguire, CEO and founder of BNRG, has been named a finalist in the EY Entrepreneur of the Year (EoY) Awards in the international category. Speaking about the EY EoY nomination, Mr. Maguire said: “This nomination is a testament to the dedication and successes of the entire BNRG team. We’ve been operating in solar for over 17 years and we’re now at a pivotal moment where the business is on the cusp of achieving real scale in the sector. “We see a lot of growth on the horizon and the network and visibility that comes with the EY Entrepreneur of the Year programme is going to be very beneficial as we continue to expand our reach and growth in the renewable energy sector across three continents. “Personally, I’m looking forward to connecting and learning from other finalists and former winners. There’s a lot to be gained from hearing about other people’s journeys – and I’m already sensing that it’s going to be a valuable experience.” David founded BNRG in 2007 and has led the business to becoming a leading global player in developing, constructing and operating large scale solar projects. An environmental scientist by profession, he is a founding member of both the Alliance for Affordable Solar Energy ‘AFASE’ in Europe and the Irish Solar Energy Association (ISEA), where he served as Chair from 2013 to 2021.
